Since 1945, Hood River Electric & Internet Co-op has operated a member investment program, selling unsecured promissory notes in Oregon. This program, which is authorized by the State of Oregon, provides the co-op with funding for the construction and maintenance of the electric and internet infrastructure that serves you, while allowing participants to earn interest income from local investments.
Program Offerings
The program offers unsecured promissory notes in terms of 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, or 10 years.
Investment Amount
The minimum investment amount is $1,000.
The maximum combined amount of investment is $500,000 per investor for standard offerings; the investment maximum cap does not apply to special note offerings.

Requirements for Participation
The primary residence of any person wishing to purchase a note must be in Oregon. For entities wishing to participate in the program, the principal place of business or location must be within Oregon. Notes may only be transferred to other Oregon residents.
All existing investors are eligible to participate, provided they maintain Oregon residency.
New investors must have an active electric service account with Hood River Electric & Internet Co-op and must provide a social security number or Tax ID for interest reporting purposes.
